Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound and lasting effects on global mental health, exacerbating pre-existing conditions and creating new psychosocial challenges. Anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and substance use disorders have surged across diverse populations, reflecting both direct effects of the virus and indirect consequences of social isolation, economic instability, and disrupted healthcare services.
